The rules and guidelines for using True Colours.

1. Who We Are

2. What True Colours Is

True Colours is a community platform for colour-by-number marker enthusiasts. You can create colour codes for colouring pages, share your finished results, and browse what others in the community have made.

3. Your Account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account (as required by Dutch law). One account per person. You can sign up with email/password or Google. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

4. Your Content

You keep ownership of everything you upload. By posting content on True Colours, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and distribute your content on the platform. This licence exists solely so we can show your content to other users as part of the community.

5. Acceptable Use

Do not upload illegal content, content that infringes someone else's intellectual property, or content that is harmful or abusive. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these rules.

6. Copyright & Takedowns

If you believe content on True Colours infringes your copyright, contact us at support@truecolours.app with:

  • A description of the copyrighted work
  • The URL of the infringing content
  • Your contact information
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised

We will review and act on valid requests promptly.

7. Content Moderation

We moderate content to keep the community safe. If we remove your content, we will notify you with the reason. You can appeal any moderation decision by emailing support@truecolours.app.

8. Payment & Billing

New accounts receive a 3-day free trial with full access to True Colours. Your first charge occurs on day 4 of your trial at the plan rate you chose (monthly or annual). You may cancel at any time during the trial without being charged — from your account settings or through the Paddle customer portal. After the trial, your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel. All payments are processed by Paddle.com, who acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, taxes, invoicing, and payment disputes. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms. Prices are shown on our /plans page. Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel.

9. Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid subscriptions. Refunds are processed by Paddle. See our full Refund Policy.

10. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. When you delete your account, we remove all your personal information (email, name, avatar, profile). Colour codes and results you shared with the community remain visible but are no longer linked to your identity. Your private data (drafts, collection, preferences) is deleted entirely. This is your right under GDPR Article 17.

11. Limitation of Liability

We do our best to keep True Colours reliable and your data safe. While we can't guarantee perfection, we commit to being transparent about issues when they arise. True Colours is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be subject to the competent Dutch courts. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under EU consumer protection law.

13. Complaints

If you have a complaint, email us at support@truecolours.app. We aim to respond within 5 business days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact De Geschillencommissie (the Dutch consumer disputes committee) or use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through an in-app notice at least 30 days before the changes take effect. If you disagree with the changes, you can close your account and export your data during that notice period.
